Family Pictures

On November 10th we took a drive to California to have new Family Pictures Taken so that we have some that include Laylah!  I was lucky & won a contest last year for a free family session with my friend Megan from "A Beautiful Moment Photography".  I was a little worried that they wouldn't turn out so well...I mean do you really think a 1 year old & a 3 year old will both smile & look at the camera at the same time?!?  I was pleasantly surprised because the kids did great & Megan captured us perfectly!   I LOVE THEM!!!

A special little Christmas Shot of Laylah!

1 Year Stats...

Laylah had her 1 year checkup & I'm happy to report that she is a beautiful, happy & healthy little girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Laylah!!!

November 2, 2012
Happy 1st Birthday Laylah Elise...

I can't believe my baby girl is already 1 year old.  Where has the time gone?!?  Miss Laylah woke up happy & ready to party on her birthday!

What better way to help celebrate her 1st Birthday than with a "Cake Smash" session!  I made Laylah a "Birthday Tutu & Fairy Headband" & then made matching Pom Poms as decorations for the backdrop to her pictures.  I ordered a beautiful cake from Petite Jolie Sweets that looked like a huge cupcake with colors to match the tutu & decorations.  My friend Veronica Swallow was the photographer for her photo shoot & everything turned out beautifully!  I was a little nervous that Laylah wouldn't cooperate & that she would just want to run around but I was pleasantly surprised!  Laylah did AWESOME!  She smiled & posed for all the pictures & looked absolutely beautiful.  When we brought out the cake she just went to town demolishing it!  I really couldn't have asked for anything more...it all turned out perfectly.  Landon even joined in on the fun & ate some cate & took pictures with Laylah!  After her photo shoot we went & enjoyed some dinner at Chili's.  It was a lovely day spent celebrating our beautiful baby girl!

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween 2012...My Little Pirate & Ladybug!
Happy Halloween!  Now that Landon is older he gets really excited about Halloween.  When asked what he would like to dress up as this year his answer changed daily!  He wanted to dress up as Woody (again), an Angry Bird, a Dinosaur, Frankenstein & then finally decided he was going to be a Pirate!  He was very excited about wearing an eye patch & carrying a sword!  Laylah was the prettiest little Ladybug I had ever seen & surprisingly didn't rip off her antennas or wings ;-)  We started our Halloween with a little party at a friends house.  The kids got to run around with all of their friends, jump in a bouncy house, make Halloween crafts & enjoy some yummy food.  Later that night we went to another friends house for a little garage party followed by trick or treating in the neighborhood.  It was a wonderful day & the kids really enjoyed themselves!

My Handsome Guys...

We Made it through another WTI course...Woo Hoo!  After each course there is a graduation ceremony for all the students.  Since Mark is an instructor he has to dress up & go so he decided to take Landon with him.  Here is a picture of them before they left...My Guys Look So Handsome!!!

Sweet Babies!!!

There is nothing that makes me happier than watching my two babies being so sweet to each other.  I was so lucky to be able to capture the sweetest & most adorable sight I have ever seen...Laylah giving Landon Hugs & Kisses Over & Over & Over Again!
Landon was sitting in his red chair watching the movie Cars & Laylah crawled over to him & pulled herself up & just started hugging him.  I heard Landon giggling & then he said "Momma Laylah keeps kissing Me".  I immediately got my camera out & kept snapping away!  They were both giggling & giving each other hugs & kisses & it was one of the best moments of my life.  As a Mommy it is so nice to see them being so loving towards each other.  I am truly blessed...

Pumpkin Patch!

On October 17th the Mom's Club that I belong to was having a little field trip to Champion Church for their annual Pumpkin Patch Fest.  The church puts on a pretty nice event that included mini-golf, face painting, bouncy houses, games, petting zoo, tractor ride & of course picking out your personal pumpkin!  Luckily Mark had a night flight that day & didn't have to go into work until late afternoon so he was able to join us!  The weather was very nice (not to hot) & both kids seemed to have a really good time.  We were even lucky enough to get a few family pictures...overall it was a great event!
