It may not seem like much to others, but I am a very proud Mommy right now. These are the moments that I don't ever want to forget. These little everyday moments that make life special & worth living...I have that every time I look at my sweet boy & watch him growing up!
A little keepsake to look back & remember all the moments in our lives that made us who we are today. Some memories will be wonderful & filled with lots of love & happiness & some memories will be sad & filled with pain & tears. The beauty of this story is that they are OUR memories & a glimpse into our lives. So here it begins...The Story Of Us

Gummy Bears...
So we have still been working on the whole potty training thing & I've come to realize that bribery is what works best for Landon! He is such a little stinker because if you give him a gummy bear for sitting on the potty he will, but if you just ask him to go potty it's like pulling teeth. We did have a little breakthrough today though. He was sitting in the living room watching a cartoon when he turned to me and said "I have to potty Mommy" & pointed to the bathroom. I got up & said ok lets go to the potty & he followed me & sat down & went potty like a big boy!!! I was so proud of him (so I gave him a gummy bear of course!) & praised him like crazy. When we were walking out of the bathroom he said to me "no more diapers Mommy". I was shocked, I couldn't believe he said that. I was so unbelievably proud of him! I told him good idea buddy, no more diapers so he insisted on walking around without any bottoms or diaper on the rest of the afternoon. We did have one accident where he peed on the floor but other than that he would get up & sit on the potty when he had to pee. He did remind me each time he peed that he needed a gummy bear though! Ha ha that's my boy!

Flowers for Mommy
We have had gorgeous weather these past couple weeks so we have been spending lots of time outside. Landon was playing & then decided he wanted to pick some flowers. He was very excited as he would run over to me & say "Look Momma Flowers" & then proceed to hand it to me.

He picked one flower at a time & would run back & forth giving them to me with a huge smile on his face!

He loved to smell the flowers & then would put it to my nose & say "smell Momma!" It was absolutely adorable how excited he would get about it.
This is the beautiful bouquet I had when he was finished. I have such a sweet little guy!!!

Wild Animal Safari

My sister Michelle & my brother Sean decided to surprise us with a visit this past weekend & I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it! Sean had looked up things to do while visiting & came upon a "Wild Animal Safari" in Pine Mountain, Georgia. We took the 50 minute drive & boy was it worth it! We couldn't have asked for a better day either...It was 77 degrees outside & the sun was shining!

When we got there we did the walking trail first & let Landon look at all the animals. We saw American Black Bears, a huge American Alligator, a Liger, a Siberian Tiger, a Cheetah, a Kangaroo, a Capuchin, Monkeys, & much more!

Then we all piled into the rented Zebra Van & started the Safari...It was amazing!!! I have to admit I was a little nervous at first. The first animal we came upon was a Gigantic Elk standing in the road. He looked a little scary at first because of his size but he came right up to the van & poked his head through the window. He was very gentle as he took food out of Sean's hand. He quickly won all of us over & we just couldn't get enough of him. We continued driving & came upon an American Buffalo, Blackbuck Antelope, Deer, Bulls, Zebras, Rhinoceros, Pigs, Camels, Giraffes, & more. It was amazing how the animals would just come right up to the van & stick their heads in the window begging for food & attention. They were all very nice & gentle & it made the Safari a wonderful adventure for all of us. I loved seeing all of the animals but it was a Giraffe that stole my heart. The Giraffe came across a field & headed straight towards me & stuck it's long neck practically into my window. I held my hand out & it gently took the food. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! It's tongue felt like sand paper on my hand & of course it slobbered on me a little! That Giraffe pretty much made the Safari for me! Landon showed no fear when feeding the animals & had a huge smile on his face the entire time!

I couldn't have asked for a better day & to be able to spend it with my guys & my sister & brother just made it PERFECT!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Valentine's Day
I decided to surprise Mark with a "Romantic Fondue Dinner" at home instead of going out & waiting in line at some mediocre restaurant with an impatient 2 year old. I definitely made the right decision...the meal was fantastic! I started us out with an appetizer of cheese fondue with carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green apples, & an assortment of bread to dip in it. We also decided to enjoy a bottle of wine we brought home from Italy!

The main entree was Filet Mignon with sauteed green, red & orange peppers, zucchini,

& onion. It was pretty delicious!
The best part of the meal was the dessert of course! I made "Flaming Turtle Fondue" & it was wonderful! I have a sweet tooth & the chocolate with the caramel & pecans was perfect! I had an assortment for dipping that included strawberries, pineapple, cheesecake, pound cake, marshmallows, & green apples.
.

We all enjoyed the meal & Landon really got a kick out of using the fondue utensils to poke his food! It was a great night with the two loves of my life!!!
