It's Official!

I had my first OB appointment today & thankfully the first thing they did was an Ultrasound. I am very happy to announce that I am Officially PREGNANT!!! I was extremely nervous laying on the table, but when we heard that wonderful heartbeat all my anxiety melted away. I of course had some tears of joy as the Ultrasound tech took pictures & showed me the "fluttering" of the heart. She said the heartbeat was very strong (173) & everything looked great so far. Mark & I were so happy & explained to Landon that his little "sister or brother" was on the TV screen. Landon looked at the screen & said "Hello Baby" it was adorable! I am 8 weeks 5 days pregnant as of today & my due date is November 4, 2011. We are so unbelievably happy & look forward to having another wonderful child in our lives!

Super Moon

Tonight the moon is supposed to look 14% larger & 30% brighter than normal. They call it the "Super Moon" & we haven't had one since March of 1983 & won't experience another one for another 19 years! Of course I had to check this out. I was able to see the moon from my front yard & I do have to say it was very pretty. Just a cool little piece of history to add to my blog. If you weren't able to get outside to have a look for yourself, no worries because I took a picture! Enjoy!

Surprise!

Mark & I have decided that it was time to try for another baby so I was preparing myself for the long haul again. Everyone that knows me knows that it is not easy for me to get pregnant or stay pregnant. My history with miscarriages makes the whole trying process a very stressful one. So we began trying thinking that it would take a while to get pregnant. Well our first official month trying my period was late so I got really excited thinking to myself I can't be this lucky. Took a home pregnancy test when I was 5 days late & it was negative. I was pretty bummed & just expected to start my period soon since I was cramping & just feeling blah. I continued to wait & wait & nothing came so I made a doctors appointment to get checked out. They did a blood test & that was negative so the doctor told me to just give it some more time. Well a whole month had passed & still no period. I started feeling very tired, having waves of nausea throughout the day, sense of smell very sensitive, & well the list just goes on & on. I kept telling Mark that something was just not right. Finally I decided to take another home pregnancy test (March 11, 2011) before I made another doctors appointment & sure enough it came up positive instantly! Now I'm really confused & very nervous that something may be wrong. It has been over 2 months since my last period so I need to make another doctors appointment to make sure that everything is alright with the baby & to see exactly how far along I really am. I am so excited & happy but also very nervous. Mark & I pray that everything is good & we look forward to expanding our family!
Of course I am really excited so I took another pregnancy test (March 13, 2011) just to make sure...it came up positive!

Movie Time!

We decided to go ahead & give the movie theater a try & I'm so glad we did! Landon did fantastic & he seemed to really enjoy himself. I was a little worried because we had to go to the later show (6:50pm) & he is usually in bed by 8:00pm but he was a trooper. He was excited to get popcorn & candy & then once we walked into the theater his attention was glued to the huge screen. We saw "Rango" and although I didn't think the movie was all that good, Landon really enjoyed it. I think he was just amazed by how big the movie screen was & how loud it was. He made himself comfy cozy in the chair for a little while & then cuddled with me & mark at different points during the movie.
He was very well behaved & just watched the movie, I was so proud of him! He is growing up so fast. The only time he got upset is when I told him it was time to go. He didn't want to leave & as he walked out he kept his eyes on the screen the whole time (he almost bumped into the seats because he wasn't paying attention!). It was a wonderful Friday night & I couldn't have asked for better dates to the movies!!!
