Since Landon had so much fun fishing with Mark we decided to take a little family trip. So on November 25th we packed up the kids & dog & headed to Lake Martinez. When we first arrived we decided to head to the dock to do a little fishing, unfortunately we didn't catch anything & the kids were both getting a little restless. We decided to drive into the little "town" & get some dinner. Landon really enjoyed running around the restaurant & playing pool & foosball. When we got back to our campsite Landon turned to us & said "There's no TV in this place?" Then he asked for the iPad! It was pretty much downhill from there. He seemed bored & didn't want to be there anymore. We decided to make a fire & about 10 minutes into sitting around the campfire Landon wanted to go inside the cabin. He kept asking me if we could go home. Then Laylah decided that she wanted to cry for about 2 hours straight! Needless to say the trip didn't turn out like we had planned, but it was fun to get away for a little while. Lake Martinez was very beautiful & peaceful (well peaceful if you could block out Laylah crying & Landon asking to go home!) ha ha ;-)
