The kids are doing fantastic & it seems as though time is moving by so quickly! On January 27th Laylah rolled from her belly to her back for the 1st time! It was a very exciting moment for our little lady & I was of course a very proud Mommy. I know it is only one of many more firsts to come! On January 28th Laylah moved into her own room & slept in her crib for the first time. Our first night was a huge success & she slept from 9:00pm - 6:20 am (I should have known that it wasn't going to be that easy though!).
Before we knew it February was here. We celebrated Valentine's Day with some cute photos of our babies & Landon also began to express more interest in going to school (which also warranted some photos). Our wonderful friends The Larson's came to stay with us for a little visit! They arrived on Mark's Birthday (Feb. 17th) so it was wonderful celebrating with them! Mark turned 32!!! The kids played outside & Landon became very good at riding his new Big Boy Bike. Heather & I were able to escape for a nice 5 mile run together without the kiddos, which was wonderful! Unfortunately February ended on a sad note for our Military Family. On February 22, 2012 there was a mid air helicopter crash that took the lives of 7 fellow Marines. This particular crash hit very close to home as one of the 7 killed was also a MAWTS-1 Instructor stationed here in Yuma. May they all rest in peace for they have made their country proud!!!
